I totally enjoy decorating my nails. So much so, I subscribed to the Nail Art Society. It’s a monthly subscription service that ships you a kit filled with professional tools, polish and nail art accessories. It’s a fun service and they always shipped me something unexpected! A couple of months ago, they got a little too big for their britches and had to suspend everyone’s membership (Boo!). They required everyone to sign up again and I just haven’t (yet 😉 ). I do encourage you to check them out (the link is above). They also have a nail art gallery if you’re just looking for inspiration.
My inspiration for this nail art came from Heartnat
I really like the idea of creating a design and peeking at the colors underneath. I figured, why not give it a shot!
I first applied the nail treatment and base coat. I then painted vertical stripes on my nails and let it dry (it is important to let the nails dry completely)
It was then time to start cutting the strips of tape. I applied them in different directions on every nail. I painted the top color over the nail and tape. Before it completely dried, I removed the tape. The last step was to put on a coat of clear nail polish.
