My Hair Journey 2.0

I have been on this natural hair journey now for a year and 3 months.  It has not always been easy but it has been rewarding watching my TRUE hair texture show itself again.  I’ve learned so much about properly caring for my hair.  It is my baby now and I can’t see letting someone else mess with it.

For the past 3 months, I have been completely natural.  I BC’d (big chopped) a week before reaching a year of transitioning.  That was the scariest part of this journey so far.  Chopping my own hair :-0 !!!  I did what most naturalistas these days do…I youtube’d it and then got to work.  It wasn’t so bad after the initial chop!

So, the next stop on this journey is health and growth.  I will focus on deep conditions and protective styles.  I’ll check back in with you in a couple of months so you can see the progress!  Onward and Upward!!! 😉
